About
My name is Steve Cerf and concert photography is my passion.
I got into concert photography after seeing young Freddy Mercury mesmerize his audience at the Philadelphia Civic Center back in 1977. Since then, I have photographed countless live performances of all kinds.
Steve Cerf – Concert Photographer
Concert photography is my passion.
My journey began in 1977 when I witnessed a young Freddie Mercury captivate the audience at the Philadelphia Civic Center. That moment ignited a lifelong pursuit of capturing the energy, emotion, and raw intensity of live performances through my lens.
Based in Philadelphia, I work throughout the U.S. and am available for local, national, and international events. My approach goes beyond simply documenting a show—I aim to immerse myself in the performance, capturing not just the moment but the essence of the artist, their energy, and even their “sweat.”
